What others words can you think of to describe the art of belly dancing? I have always been fascinated with the art form and several friends and acquaintances of mine are deeply rooted in practicing the art of belly dancing. I mean so deep they participate in public city events showcasing it as well as spend some of their spare time practicing it.
In the Femme Fitale Fit Club we have at least 3 practitioners and I am trying to woo them into leading a session to show some of us some moves! Besides just being a sexy dance there are health benefits to the art form such as:
- Improved posture and overall muscle tone
- Tight abs
- Weight loss
- Stress reduction
- Aiding digestion
- Improved coordination
- Better sleep
- Development of self esteem
While the gym has its health benefits, don’t sleep on other forms of exercise such as belly dancing. Your body and mate just may thank you for taking up the activity.
