#Run and #Squat


I live here on the East Coast and in lieue of Hurricane Sandy, we had electricity this morning which meant it was a good day to get a workout in.  Yesterday I worked out with a neighbor doing Insanity and it was all good and today I did my tried and true.

Found a kick-butt cardio workout in Shape magazine and it went a little something like this.

6-10 6 0
10-14 3.5 10
14-15 3.5 0
15-15:40 8 0
15:40-16 5 0
REPEAT 15-16 4 TIMES
20-24 3.5 10
24-25 3.5 0
25-25:40 8 0
25:40-26 5 0
REPEAT 25 – 26 4   TIMES
30-35 3 0
DONE in 35 minutes

Then I did the 100 squat-a-day challenge and that went a little something like that.

  • 25 regular squats with 30 lbs
  • 25 plie squats with 15 lbs
  • 50 alternating split squats with 30 lbs

Knocked out this workout and was done in under 1 hour!  Can’t eat that with a bat.
