I would like to share my before and after photo with you.

Before making the decision to start my weight loss journey, I was struggling with obesity, depression, diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, osteoarthritis and I also had trigeminal neuralgia….I was also taking 30 pills a day.  After seeing many of my family members struggle with diabetes and high blood pressure and seeing them lose limbs, their sight and some to even die….I decided that it was time for me to make a change…it was time for me to lose the weight and to be a healthy example for my family and friends.

I joined Weight Watchers….one of the best decisions I have ever made! Currently, I have lost 101 lbs. and I have been given a clean bill of health and I no longer take any medication.  I am a GirlTrek 2012 Trailblazer and I was awarded a fellowship to fund my dream health adventure, which is to run a half marathon in 2013.  GirlTrek is a national nonprofit organization that inspires and supports African American women and girls through walking, to live their healthiest, most fulfilled lives. Running is something that I have dreamed of doing since my childhood and it is such an awesome experience to see my dream coming to pass!
